{"id":4589,"date":"2022-05-24T08:09:36","date_gmt":"2022-05-24T08:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/devoteproject.eu\/?p=4589"},"modified":"2022-06-10T10:23:57","modified_gmt":"2022-06-10T10:23:57","slug":"devotes-online-course-is-finally-ready","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devoteproject.eu\/en_gb\/devotes-online-course-is-finally-ready\/","title":{"rendered":"DEVOTE&#8217;s online course is finally ready!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">As one of the two main deliverables of the DEVOTE project, the Massive Open online Course (MOOC) is at the heart of our work.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p><strong>Starring the six modules previously developed <\/strong>from both our theoretical research, the needs analysis compiling data from teachers and youth workers, as well as expertise on practices brought by all partners of the project, <strong>this online course is soon to be released<\/strong>. Through both a theoretical and a practical approach, followers of the course will be able to access content on several topics such as parental involvement or national linguistic support. Though <strong>completely free of access<\/strong> upon creation of a user account, this course is aimed to support educators, specifically secondary school teachers, as DEVOTE\u2019s mission is <strong>to promote and help inclusion of students with migrant backgrounds<\/strong> within the educational environment. Students, youth workers and centres, researchers, school staff, associations or any other stakeholder concerned with the matter might also get interested in our educational content, a rich repository of<strong> learning and teaching resources using technology-based pedagogies.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The six modules are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Promoting a whole school approach<\/li><li>Assessment of students with migrant backgrounds<\/li><li>National linguistic support<\/li><li>Parental involvement<\/li><li>Psychosocial support<\/li><li>Best practices for intercultural education<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;\"><p>Each module is compiling <strong>up-to-date research<\/strong> on their respective topics, <strong>quizzes, short exercises and games <\/strong>to test the user\u2019s knowledge, <strong>materials and examples<\/strong> to implement activities with students and a <strong>final test<\/strong> to validate the module and get a certificate.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1440\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/devoteproject.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Presentation-DEVOTE-IO2-OOC-1.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4601\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As one of the two main deliverables of the DEVOTE project, the Massive Open online Course (MOOC) is at the heart of our work.
